PGCE Course Manager
Liz Bills has overall responsibility for the administration of the PGCE course. This includes liaising with our partner schools, colleges of the university, university central administration and external bodies. She is also Secretary to the PGCE Examination Board.

Higher Degrees Secretary Responsible for processing applications for admission to the Higher Degree programmes (MSc courses and DPhil) and responding to enquiries from prospective and registered students. I currently manage the processing of CUREC applications for registered MSc and DPhil students within the Department and am Secretary to the Examiners for the MSc Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition programme.

Finance Officer Dorothy shares the Finance Officer position along with her colleague, Pat Millett. She has been in the Department for 7 years and has gained considerable knowledge of all finance related enquiries. She assists the Administrator with the running of the departmental accounts and can help with any enquiries including payments of invoices, expense claims, student bursaries and casual payroll.

Research Administrator David is primarily responsible for managing the Department's diverse
research portfolio. He provides advice for academic and research staff
who are considering preparing proposals for external research grants,
targeting and disseminating funding opportunities. He endorses
applications in liaison with the Director of Research, the
Administrator and the Director.
David financially manages
research accounts for all departmental awards, monitoring
expenditure and providing advice to grant holders. He produces
quarterly forecast reports for Central Finance, and coordinates
Departmental submissions for annual funding rounds. In liaison with
Research Services, he scrutinises terms and conditions of agreements
with funders. David also manages Contract Research Staff developmental
reviews and services the Research Committee and Research Ethics
Committee.

Administrator, Oxford University Centre for Educational Assessment, with responsibility for ensuring the efficient running of this graduate research centre office. Tasks include helping submit grant proposals, coordinating and tracking financial aspects of research grants and ensuring both students and visiting researchers have the facilities they require.
